I can't live without them

I can't talk about my favourite piece of technology but I can say that I totally depend on my cell phone and my laptop. Maybe "depend" on them is a strong thing to say but that's how it is. I communicate with everyone trough my cell and I organize all my day with it so I'm lost without it specially because I don't wear a watch I look at the hour on my cell, it's like when I forget it at home (wish rarely happens) I'm lost not only in space but also in time…very drastic but that's how it is for me. I like to have a modern phone not a very expensive one but modern that fits my style, small, with colours, camera, radio, and a big memory for text messages. I change it two times last year and both times I got robed so I'm using an old model but very "me". About my laptop I got it 2 years ago and I just can't imagine my life without it, I do everything there: planes, homework, study, researches, talk with friends and stuff like that. Even when I travel away from the city my laptop comes with me, I can't leave it behind I don't know why I just can't. I have everything it maters to me in there: songs, photos, drawings, works, etc. It's like a small part of my memory in digital format.
I know It's wrong to let your life depend on material things but I really notice a difference on my day when I don't have them It's like I'm missing something. Maybe I should start to organize myself in another way but right now I totally depend on both things … my cell phone and my laptop.

Patience

I have to say that finding my favorite song it was incredibly hard I mean there are like a million songs that I like and choosing 1 out of the all bunch it seems impossible. I started by dismissing the ones that are in Spanish and that actually reduced the list a lot leaving me with song that I liked only because I thought the singers were cute.
The song that I chose is called Patience of the group Gun’s N Roses. I don’t really know much about the song only that it’s from the album GNR Lies. The reason why I like it is because a very important person in my life sent it and dedicated to me a long time ago. I had completely forgotten about it but researching in my computer I found it and I remember how special I was for me when I listen to it for the first time.

Well here are the lyrics:

,2,1,2,3,4

Shed a tear 'cause

I'm missin' you

I'm still alright to smile

Girl, I think about you every day now

Was a time when I wasn't sure

But you set my mind at ease

There is no doubt

You're in my heart now

Said, woman, take it slow

It'll work itself out fine

All we need is just a little patience

Said, sugar, make it slow

And we come together fine

All we need is just a little patience

(patience)

Mm, yeah

I sit here on the stairs

'Cause I'd rather be alone

If I can't have you right now

I'll wait, dear

Sometimes I get so tense

But I can't speed up the time

But you know, love

There's one more thing to consider

Said, woman, take it slow

And things will be just fine

You and I'll just use a little patience

Said, sugar, take the time

'Cause the lights are shining bright

You and I've got what it takes

To make it, We won't fake it,

I'll never break it

'cause I can't take it

...Little patience, mm yeah, mm yeah

need a little patience, yeah

just a little patience, yeah

some more patience, yeah

need some patience, yeah

could use some patience, yeah

gotta have some patience, yeah

all it takes is patience,

just a little patience

is all you need...

I been walkin' the street at night

Just tryin' to get it right

Hard to see with so many around

You know I don´t like

Being stuck in the crow

And the streets don´t change

But baby the name

I ain´t got time for the game

'Cause I need you

Yeah, yeah, but I need you

Oo, I need you

Whoa, I need you Oo, all this time (ah)

BBC Learning English

Ok. Honestly? I don’t think you can learn English or any other language trough a web site. It might help you with vocabulary and quizzes to test your own skills but learning … it does not convince me. It’s fun to do the quizzes and listen to the music or stories that are showed there but I think the best way of learning a new language (that is not your native language) is by talking … just talking to someone that knows the language you want to learn of course. It’s interesting to challenge yourself against a computer because you can’t really know if your answers are right or wrong the thing is that when you answer a test to a computer you have the chance of doing it again and again until you get it right wish doesn’t happens when you are taking an exam in front of a teacher. The web site can work for people who doesn’t have time to take an English course or maybe doesn’t want to and if it works for them It’s ok but the best way of really learn is exchanging opinions with other people, you can expand your vocabulary, improve in your pronunciation and stuff like that wish you cannot with the web site. I have to admit thou that the writing can be very helpful for the orthography and redaction, if your English is more needed in a paper it can work for you but if speaking is what you want … then get up of the computer chair and sing in an English course where you can related with other English students.
