BBC Learning English

Ok. Honestly? I don’t think you can learn English or any other language trough a web site. It might help you with vocabulary and quizzes to test your own skills but learning … it does not convince me. It’s fun to do the quizzes and listen to the music or stories that are showed there but I think the best way of learning a new language (that is not your native language) is by talking … just talking to someone that knows the language you want to learn of course. It’s interesting to challenge yourself against a computer because you can’t really know if your answers are right or wrong the thing is that when you answer a test to a computer you have the chance of doing it again and again until you get it right wish doesn’t happens when you are taking an exam in front of a teacher. The web site can work for people who doesn’t have time to take an English course or maybe doesn’t want to and if it works for them It’s ok but the best way of really learn is exchanging opinions with other people, you can expand your vocabulary, improve in your pronunciation and stuff like that wish you cannot with the web site. I have to admit thou that the writing can be very helpful for the orthography and redaction, if your English is more needed in a paper it can work for you but if speaking is what you want … then get up of the computer chair and sing in an English course where you can related with other English students.
